The Indian Peaceloving Paradox

What is the best way to destroy someone?: Physical assault? - No, Make someone bankrupt? - No. Best way is to take away his beliefs and hope. Hope has remained key success factor in human history. Hope made humans survive the worst times. For Indians it has been the key factor to make us hopeless, negative and over preaching. We face threats militarily, culturally and economically yet we sing the songs of peace making. Such paradox can work in India only, where we do have one of the strongest army in the world yet we are hell bent in making peace even with those who are killing our people daily. At one hand we talk lot about peace, our politicians and so called human right activists preach a lot about Gandhian way of non violence and same people walk under the shadow of full fledged security cover. That means either you don't believe in Gandhi and you just preach hollow or you are afraid that no one believes you. In both cases one thing comes out very clear that there is nothing like Gandhian non violence in reality. I will trust into that when all those who are preaching it daily comes out without any security, they leave their lavish villa and start living like a real common man till then I will follow the path of practical approach where it is very clear that one should protect his life and assets at any cost, it is basic survival instinct planted by nature itself, Gandhian philosophy is against the nature and trying to follow it any how has cost us badly (e.g. divided nation, lost land, losing over table talks after military victory, rise of terror and violence in each corner of nation and hotbed of corruption), all these examples are enough to prove that the way of Gandhi and Nehru has not lead us anywhere except failures and blunders so why to follow them still? Well this is the core issue we fear to be labelled as aggressors, we want someone else to fight on our behalf so we can sit inside our homes or do some violence against our own police but we never want violence with nations which are openly threatening us. Earlier we used to say harsh words in return after terror attacks, now we wait for some big attack to target terrorists but our systems don't want to pre-empt and eliminate the threat before it creates chaos. As we are saying that in new India we want new model of working, I want to add that in new India we must learn new ideals and say goodbye to failed idea of too much peace loving image. Only this is the way to come out of this paradox or else we will be thrown our of our own land.

New Education policy: Need to induct real life topics in curriculum!!!

Let me start with an example first: While standing in a line at bank to deposit money, there was a girl standing just ahead of me and she was there to deposit cheque. The girl was wearing uniform of an MBA institute which means that she has had good academic education, when it was her turn she has given the cheque to teller and the person on the counter asked her that she has to attach slip with it before depositing, the girl went back to the desk where slips are kept, she looked utterly confused about what to fill inside those boxes, a person who was standing there told her to fill with account number, now more interesting thing, the girl called to someone (most probably the person who gave the cheque) that please give your account number while she was supposed to put her own which was again corrected by teller. Reason to start with this example is that our youth which gets through good academic education, many time fails to work on real life things. Ask them to 1. Go to GPO and do speedpost, sending register AD or 2. Going for routine bank work or 3. How to invest money e.g. SIP, shares, equity and mutual fund (specially science students), calculating taxes or 4. Basic legal terms, filing income tax return, purchasing stamp paper even. Yes they learn it but it is after they come into field and it takes few years to make them aware about all these things. Many of you will say that we know all these things but here question is that do you really believe that an engineer knows it all just after passing out? My answer is no in majority of the cases. So this is the problem statement, now what's the solution? Well as government is amending education policy after almost three decades I wish that they include such topics in the curriculum so that it becomes part of routine. What if government doesn't do that? Well in that case the God made teachers whom we call parents have that responsibility to teach their children about all these things. If we can teach our children to use laptop and smartphones, we must take responsibility to make them aware about all these things which are part of day to day life. Youth is aware of which web series on which platform or how to register for an event of comedian/singer but they don't know about filling up form for train reservation or not even meaning of various terms after you book a train ticket. Time to give importance to basic social discipline, laws which can be useful in day to day life and the things which I have mentioned earlier as we are not working in an absolute environment where we are supposed to work only with one subject but we have to deal with many things at time and better to prepared during our years of academic education. I wish to know your views into it and let's try to spread this message that much that it reaches to authorities and they give their time to think about it. As always I am waiting for your suggestions!!!
